Mitchell and Rachel had the most beautiful summer day to celebrate their wedding at St. Francis Xavier Church in downtown Cincinnati and The Madison Event Center in Covington. From beginning to end, their day was filled with love, joy, and timeless moments that perfectly reflected who they are as a couple.
Every part of their wedding told their story—from the laughter shared with family and friends to the quiet, meaningful glances between just the two of them. Their celebration was the perfect blend of classic tradition and unforgettable memories.
Rachel is one of the sweetest brides—her joy was contagious throughout the entire day. Mitchell brought such a calm and fun presence that balanced everything perfectly. Even with the unexpectedly hot summer heat, they both embraced it with grace (you’d never know how warm it really was!). The way Mitchell lit up when he saw Rachel for the first time was a moment I’ll never forget.
What I loved most about photographing their wedding is how much they valued simply being together. When we first talked, they shared how important it was to capture organic, natural moments while still having gentle guidance for portraits. Their focus was always on one another and the joy of starting their married life together.
They began the day getting ready at Hotel Covington in separate suites before their first look—a beautiful, emotional moment that set the tone for the rest of the day. Their Catholic ceremony at St. Francis Xavier Church was filled with reverence and tradition, followed by an elegant reception at The Madison Event Center, where laughter, drinks, and celebration carried late into the night.

Hotel Covington | Covington Wedding Day Photos
We started the morning at Hotel Covington with Rachel’s timeless details, including the most beautiful pair of Badgley Mischka shoes. She slipped into her stunning gown from Carrie Karibo Bridal before finishing her look with earrings, shoes, and a meaningful heirloom piece—one of my favorite parts of the day. Rachel wore a bracelet her mom had worn on her own wedding day, a sentimental touch that made the moment even more special. We ended the morning with sweet first looks, first with her bridesmaids and then with her dad—both filled with so much joy and emotion.
Next up were Mitchell’s getting-ready photos at Hotel Covington. We started with his details, including custom socks and cufflinks with his monogram, before moving into his final touches—tying his bowtie, fastening his custom cufflinks, slipping on his watch, and a spritz of cologne. To finish, he spent some time doing one of his favorite things with his guys: sharing a cold drink and just hanging out before the celebrations began.

We then headed over to the P&G Lawn for Mitchell and Rachel’s first look—and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Mitchell’s reaction to seeing his gorgeous bride for the first time is one of my favorites to date. His expression was full of joy, the biggest contagious smile, and so much love. It was such a heartfelt moment that set the tone for the rest of the day.
After their first look, we jumped into bridal party photos at P&G Lawn, followed by bride and groom portraits. Even though the heat was intense, you’d never know it from the photos—Mitchell and Rachel were glowing with happiness the entire time.

From there, we headed over to St. Francis Xavier Church for family portraits before the ceremony. Mitchell and Rachel chose to do all of their photos beforehand so that once the vows were said, they could spend the rest of the evening celebrating fully with their family and friends.
The Madison Event Center Venue | Covington Wedding Reception
After the ceremony, we made our way to The Madison Event Center for the reception. Mitchell and Rachel were so excited to celebrate with their favorite people and soak in every moment together. From cutting the cake to dancing the night away, their reception was filled with joy, laughter, and memories they’ll cherish forever.
