There are places in Cincinnati that feel like they have always known they were meant to be photographed.
Ault Park is one of them.
Tucked into the Mt. Lookout neighborhood, this 224-acre park has been one of Cincinnati’s most beloved outdoor spaces since 1911. The sweeping overlooks above the Little Miami River valley. The garden paths that wind through manicured grounds and old-growth trees. And the light — the extraordinary, golden, unhurried light that settles over the park in the late afternoon like it belongs there.
This editorial was built entirely around letting Ault Park be exactly what it already is. Beautiful. Timeless. Completely Cincinnati. 🤍
The Location
Ault Park is a venue that does not need to be dressed up to feel extraordinary. The stone structures create natural frames around every image. The open grounds offer room to breathe and move. And the light — particularly in the final hour before sunset — does something to this park that is genuinely difficult to describe until you see it in a photograph.
For couples dreaming of an outdoor wedding in Cincinnati — one that feels elevated, timeless, and deeply rooted in the city they love — Ault Park delivers every single time.
The Design
Every detail in this editorial was chosen to honor the natural elegance of the space.
Bountiful Fleur Floral Studio brought florals that felt organic and intentional — arrangements that moved with the outdoor setting and complemented the warm stone tones of the pavilion beautifully. JChar Designs provided paper goods that carried the same refined, nature-forward sensibility. Style by Nina and La Prima Beauty gave the editorial a look that was polished, warm, and completely at home in an outdoor setting like this one.
Lace Bridal Couture provided a gown that moved beautifully through every space in the park — from the intimacy of the pavilion archways to the open grandeur of the overlook terrace. And the stunning vintage car from Blanc Estate Vintage added a timeless, nostalgic touch that felt completely at home in a space as storied as Ault Park.
A Spoonful of Sugar brought the most beautiful cakes surrounded in a flower meadow — every detail considered and completely aligned with the warmth and refinement of the overall design. All Occasions Event Rental provided the rentals that tied the entire setup together.
The Portraits
Portrait time at Ault Park is a gift. There are so many spots that are perfect for photos.
The couple moved through the property with an ease that made every portrait feel completely natural. The archways. The overlooks. The garden paths catching the last of the afternoon light. Every location gave us something different — and every frame gave us something worth keeping. 🤍
Why Ault Park is Perfect for Weddings and Editorial Sessions
The combination of architectural character, sweeping river valley views, and the extraordinary quality of natural light makes Ault Park one of the most photogenic locations in all of Cincinnati. Whether you are planning a full wedding day, an engagement session, or a styled editorial — this park has something remarkable to offer at every turn.
Heirloom Design & Co brought a creative vision that honored every inch of this space — and the result is something I am deeply proud of.
