Capturing the joy and excitement of a pregnancy announcement is a special moment that deserves to be documented beautifully. Recently, I had the privilege of photographing an intimate pregnancy announcement session at a serene garden park in Dayton, Ohio.
The setting was perfect for creating timeless images that conveyed the couple’s emotions of joy as they are expecting a little one. Jason and Rachel are expecting their first baby in October of this year. This was so special to capture because these are some of my dear friends. I was so excited when Rachel reached out telling me they were expecting and asking me to capture these memories for her.
We went to a local Dayton park to capture photos for them to announce on social media to all their family and friends. They even brought Coco their adorable pup along for their session. Coco did so well posing for the camera and only needed a few treats. She had the cutest Big Sis bandana. After about 20 minutes, Coco needed a water break because this was probably one of the warmest days we have had so far this year and pictures wore her out.
We did photos with a onesie that said “and then there were four” with two hearts representing Mom and Dad, paw print for Coco, and baby feet to represent their little one they are expecting. We also did some with the ultrasound photos they had printed from their appointment. These made for the sweetest announcement photos.
As the sunlight filtered through the trees, I was able to capture the love and connection between the couple as they shared their exciting news. The beauty of nature served as a picturesque backdrop, from all the greenery to the spring florals.
Overall, the session was a wonderful, and I am grateful to have been able to document such a special moment in this couple’s journey. I believe that photography has the power to preserve precious memories, and I am honored to be able to provide that service to my clients.
