WOW! Prepare yourself for the longest blog post!! THE BEST DAY EVER!! What a whirl wind of a week. Friday morning I started off with some of my girls putting our bouquets together at Flowerman Flowers. We went to brunch at Black Rock and then headed to get our nails done.
We had our rehearsal Friday night at Drew’s parents house. We quickly ran through the plan for our wedding day and then we spent the rest of the night eating some good food with the best people.
August 29th, 2020.
The day we get married. I remember leading up to it being worried about the weather because we were supposed to get some heavy rain/storms. Our day came and it was THE most perfect weather! Sunny, 75, and stayed that way for the whole day.
The girls started the morning at my apartment in Xenia and the guys started their day at Drew’s parents house. We then headed over to our venue, Rosewood Manor at Magnolia Estates.
Drew and I decided we were going to do a first look and share our personal vows during it. This was probably one of my favorite moments of the day. It was so intimate with just the two of us (plus our photographers & videographers). What I loved most about it was the quality time I got to share with Drew. The emotions were high during this moment and although the photos don’t show Drew crying, he cried while reading his vows to me. Drew’s favorite moment from our wedding day was the moment he saw me walking down the aisle to the song From the Ground Up by Dan + Shay. He said that he still remembers getting butterflies the moment he saw me and tearing up all over again.
We danced the night away with our family and friends and it couldn’t have been more perfect.
About 3 months later, we received our full gallery from our photographer and our video from our videographer and it was everything we could’ve asked for. One thing that stuck out to me was this bee that stayed on my shoulder for almost the entire ceremony. When I mentioned it to my dad he said, “It was probably Mom coming to join us for your special day!” For those of you that don’t know, my step-mom (who was really just another mom to me because she helped raise me since I was like 3 years old) passed away when I was in high school. I will never look at those photos the same. Now all I do when I see those specific photos is smile thinking of those exact words that my dad said to me.
This day. These photos. The video. These people. It was everything I could’ve ask for and more! Enjoy seeing some of our favorite photos from OUR favorite day!
